Internal Moderation Online

Like to try

The internal moderation process can be divided into three parts which can often happen at different times.

Internal moderation online allows your school to submit data for each of these three processes. Giving an "up to the minute" overview of progress being made.

  • Critiquing Assessment Materials

  • Retaining Samples and Reviewing Assessment Materials

  • Verifying Evidence

Internal moderation online consists of two main pages.

  • All Standards Page

This page contains the list of standards and gives a great overview of what has been completed for each standard

  • Individual Standard Page

This page gives detailed information of the standard and all of the processes that have been completed for the standard

All Standards Page

The All Standards Page gives instant awareness of whether the critiquing of assessment materials and samples retained and review of assessment materials processes for each standard have been completed. This information is under the standards critiqued and samples retained columns.

For the verification evidence there are 4 more columns that deliver information.

  • Column 1: How many verifications have been completed.
  • Column 2: How many differences are there between the marker and verifier. (It is healthy to see at points robust discussion and difference when verifying work)
  • Column 3: How many out of the verifications were completed by out of school expert verifiers. (Healthy to check your schools marking is consistent with other schools)
  • Column 4: How many students are enrolled in this standard (Helps to ensure an appropriate verification sample size has been completed)

All the information can be grouped by faculty and then ordered by various columns enabling different areas of leadership to quickly identify which areas have been completed.

Individual Standards Page

Each standard has the indepth data of what processes have been completed for that standard. Including by whom and when.

Entering Data

All of the data is easy to enter, most is entered by ticking a box next to a statement that the critiquer or verifier acknowledges that they have completed. The website is very intuitive ensuring even your most technophobe teachers can easily complete these processes online.

There is a sign off process where the critiquer and/or verifier signs off that they have completed each of the different processes of internal moderation.
